If you’re thinking on having a luxurious vacation in Paris there is a hotel that you must include in your shortlist: the Hôtel Vernet.
The magnificent Hôtel Vernet, that is beautifully located between the Place de l’Etoile (Charles de Gaulle) and the prestigious Golden Triangle district, on the Champs-Elysées, celebrates its 100th anniversary. and to mark this special date, the hotel was redesigned by the talented interior designer François Champsaur.
The facade of the 5 star Hôtel Vernet
After his worldly known designs of the Maison Troisgros in Roanne, Café de l’Alma in Paris and a truly amazing renovation of The Metropolitan (Paris), François Champsaur accepted the challenge to give some life back into the prestigious and luxurious Hôtel Vernet!
The result, as you can see in these fantastic photographs, is…outstanding. Mr Champsaur was able to combine perfectly the classical elegance of the building with a curated selection of artworks, furniture and materials that give a special feeling to Hôtel Vernet.
The Hôtel Vernet bar
To restyle the hotel interiors, the Paris based designer had the contribution of French artist Jean-Michel Alberola who painted an astonishing fresco on the bar’s ceiling.
This need to create an artistic style is visible across the hotel and has its high point in the restaurant, where a minimalist assortment of dining furniture and contemporary art sits beneath an outstanding stained glass dome designed by Gustave Eiffel, the iconic engineer/architect behind the ultra famous Eiffel Tower.
